Turkish Super Lig Forward Moestafa El Kabir Had A Nightmare Day

Moestafa El Kabir had one of the worst days any football player is likely to have finishing with the Çaykur Rizespor striker being stretchered off after just 13 minutes of his match with a broken leg.

Ahead of Rizespor's game on Sunday with Sivasspor in the Turkish Super Lig, El Kabir was left at the club's training facility, missing the coach to the game.

That meant the 30-year-old had to get a taxi to the game but without arriving with the team security initially wouldn't let him into the ground. When he did finally get inside, thanks to the manager intervening, El Kabir had to get ready to start the game.

His match didn't last long though as the Moroccan's day took its final turn as he was stretchered off with a broken leg, as reported by Futboo, after just 14 minutes.

As Sundays playing football go, there isn't many worse than that and it's likely that El Kabir will miss most of the season and won't be back till the end of February.

The only consolation for the striker, who had a season at Ajax during his youth career, was that his team did manage to get all three points after he went off.

Braian Samudio put Rizespor ahead from the penalty spot after 54 minutes before Fernando Boldrin made it 2-0 just four minutes later.

Sivasspor striker Fernando, on loan from Porto, pulled one back for the visitors but it wasn't enough to stop Rizespor keeping a 100% record after two games.

Fenerbache remain top of Super Lig after also winning two from two, after beating local rivals Istanbul Basaksehir on Saturday.

Basaksehir were nearly the surprise winners of Super Lig last season but missed out on the title to Galatasaray after a run of one win in their final five games.

However this season they have lost their opening two games whilst champions Galatasaray have picked up just one point.
