Fans are convinced Kevin De Bruyne helped write new Drake song after 'spotting him' in song credits

Manchester City fans think Kevin De Bruyne helped write a track on Drake's 'Scary Hours 3' project.

He explained: "I feel no need to appease anybody. I feel so confident about the body of work that I just dropped, I know I could go disappear for, whatever, six months, a year, two years—even though I’m not really into the super lengthy disappearances for the sake of mystery."

The Canadian rapper says the writing process took five days and he got some help on a few tracks.

One person said: "This is the most random thing I've seen today."

Another commented: "De Bruyne is the assist GOAT on and off the pitch."

A third tweeted: "Man is getting everywhere while injured."

While someone added: "Who needs the Ballon d'Or when you're going for a Grammy?"

We should stress at this point, it's not confirmed to be the K. De Bruyne we all know and love. The Belgium international has previously been pictured with Drake however. Maybe he's got a secret talent he only felt comfortable showing to the world now.

Pep Guardiola's side are top of the table, although a 4-4 draw with Chelsea on Sunday means their lead over Liverpool in second is just one point.

When asked about De Bruyne's recovery before the game, Guardiola said: "I spoke with him two days ago and he said he feels really good but… recover.

"With these kind of injuries, it's better not to put pressure.

"When he feels good and the doctors are confident, we can take the next step.

"You don't want to go too early and have to go back again. A tough injury, surgery, so step by step."
