The top 10 managerial payouts as Nuno Espirito Santo receives second huge sum after Al Ittihad sacking

The top 10 managerial payouts have emerged following reports Nuno Espirito Santo will receive $8 million after being sacked by Al Ittihad.

A poor run of results has seen Nuno's tenure in the Saudi Pro League

come to an end after 16 months.

Despite signing Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante and Fabinho over the summer, Al Ittihad have won 6 of their 12 league games and slumped to a 2-0 defeat against Air Force Club of Iraq on Monday in the Asian Champions League.

Journalist Rudy Galetti claims the 48-year-old will be given a hefty compensation fee after being relieved of his duties. It's the second huge sum Nuno will have received in recent years after getting £5 million from Tottenham Hotspur in 2021.

It still manages to come nowhere near the top 10 payouts in history. Top of the list is Antonio Conte, who pocketed an astonishing £26.6 million from Chelsea after departing Stamford Bridge in 2018.

The Italian coach managed to win the Premier League title and FA Cup during his two years with the Blues, although his exit was a bitter one. He sued then-owner Roman Abramovich for a further £85,000 in January 2020.

Bayern Munich's decision to replace Julian Nagelsmann shocked everyone earlier this year. It cost the German giants, who quickly parachuted Thomas Tuchel into the role, around £23.7 million.

Jose Mourinho's exit from Manchester United in 2018 comes in third, and his initial Chelsea farewell is fourth.

Laurent Blanc leaving PSG comes in at fifth before Mourinho makes it a hat-trick after an ill-fated spell with Tottenham.

Making up the rest of the top 10 are Luiz Felipe Scolari, Fabio Capello, Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino, who left Chelsea, Russia, Chelsea and Tottenham, respectively.
