Paddy Pimblett's accent in the new UFC game has left fans in stitches

Paddy Pimblett's accent in the new UFC video game has left fans in stitches.

EA Sports UFC 5 is due to come out on Thursday, with gamers around the world excited to embody their favourite martial artists at the Octagon.

Kung fu legend Bruce Lee and Russian social media star Hasbulla Magomedov feature in the new game.

But fans can't get over how UFC star Pimblett sounds after a dressing room scene from the game went viral on social media.

The 28-year-old was born in Merseyside and has a thick Liverpool accent. He has often expressed his love of the city and even referred top himself as "scouse, not English" back in 2021.

However, the game hasn't quite reflected 'Paddy the Baddy's' voice, instead portraying him with what sounds like an American accent which resembles John Cena more than the man himself.

Fans have taken to social media to laugh at the clip, with one fan tweeting: "Bro this s**t had me weak."

Another joked: "That classic Scouse accent," while a second wrote: "Throw a 'lad' or two in there and it sounds just like him."

"I could of done a better Scouse voice over wtf," one fan exclaimed.

"Is that Paddy Cena?" another quipped.

Pimblett made his UFC debut in September 2021 and has registered four wins since moving to the promotion, after beating Luigi Vendramini, Rodrigo Vargas, Jordan Leavitt and Jared Gordon.

But he's set to return to action before the end of the year after UFC CEO Dana White confirmed the lightweight star's next fight.

Pimblett will face Tony Ferguson at UFC 296 in Las Vegas on December 16.

Speaking in a video posted on social media, White said: "Paddy is on a six-fight win streak, five of those have come by finish, and Tony Ferguson is always exciting - the former interim champion in the lightweight division."

Ferguson, 39, is on a six-fight losing streak, having lost to the likes of Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveria and Nate Diaz.
